Understanding MEV Attacks

MEV (Miner Extractable Value) attacks occur when validators manipulate transaction order within a block to gain financially. In traditional BFT-based leader-driven proof-of-stake chains, including Ethereum and other Tendermint based chain, the nominated leader can exploit their role by reordering or manipulating specific transactions to maximize their own profit.
